The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation approved the allocation of 800 million rubles for the creation of two technoparks in the Nizhny Novgorod Region
The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation has approved subsidies for the creation of “TSEKH 2.0” and “Bogolyubov” technoparks in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov announced the allocation of federal funds for the creation of technoparks in 18 regions of Russia at a meeting between President of Russia Vladimir Putin and members of the Government.
“Technoparks are becoming a driver of small business growth, and the figures confirm this. Over five years, the real revenue per employee among residents grew at a multiple of the rate of the entire small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector – 39% for residents compared to 2% for the SME sector,” emphasized Maxim Reshetnikov.
“TSEKH 2.0” and “Bogolyubov” will each receive 500 million rubles: 400 million rubles from the federal budget and an additional 100 million rubles from the regional budget.
“The regional team is actively developing investment infrastructure. It is encouraging that business, with the support of the federal government, is also joining this effort, driven by interest in enhancing the attractiveness of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. We will provide investors with all possible support for the successful launch of their projects,” said Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
LLC “Instrument Holding” plans to build the industrial technopark “TSEKH 2.0” on the territory of special economic zone “Kulibin” as part of a project to create a machine-tool cluster. It will specialize in machine building and metalworking. The usable floor area of the facility will be approximately 5,400 sq. m, with plans to accommodate at least 12 residents. A total of over 1 billion rubles is planned to be invested in the creation of the technopark.
The “Bogolyubov” technopark will be built by the company “Artproject-NN” on the territory of the “Akimova” cluster within the Innovative scientific and technological center “Quantum” Valley”. Its specialization includes software development as well as pilot and laboratory production of electronic equipment. The facility with a usable floor area of over 5,000 sq. m is planned to accommodate more than 20 residents. The total investment in the project exceeds 1 billion rubles.
Both technoparks are scheduled to be commissioned in 2029.
“Residents of the technoparks will be leased administrative and production spaces equipped with ready-made engineering infrastructure, which will enable them to conduct R&D and manufacture new products in a comfortable environment,” said Egor Polyakov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, noted that the creation of new technoparks is of strategic importance for the development of the region's industry and small business.
“It is important not only to equip modern sites with the necessary infrastructure but also to fill them as quickly as possible with effective residents who will create jobs, manufacture in-demand products, and build cooperative ties with large enterprises. At the application stage, the regional Ministry of Industry provided comprehensive support for the projects – from the preparation of documentation to the defense of the initiatives at the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia,” emphasized Maxim Cherkasov.
He added that the regional Ministry of Industry will continue to support the projects both during the construction phase and throughout the resident selection process to ensure synergy between the new productions and the region's existing clusters.
The management company of SEZ “Kulibin” and ISTC “Quantum” Valley” is the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
“The creation of technoparks will significantly enhance the investment attractiveness of SEZ “Kulibin” and ISTC “Quantum” Valley” and will promote the development of high-tech manufacturing across various sectors. Our specialists provided support to the companies during the preparation of documentation for obtaining subsidies and will continue to assist them at every stage of project implementation," noted Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
