Investors highly rated the performance of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation
The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation conducted a survey among investors to assess their satisfaction with its services during the first quarter of 2025.
The survey results showed a satisfaction score of 4.98 out of 5 points. In the first quarter of 2024, this indicator stood at 4.96 points.
Investors evaluated the Corporation's performance across eight criteria: information about existing support measures, assistance in liaising with regional and local authorities, support in selecting project implementation sites, “one-stop shop” investor services, help in engaging with financial institutions, competence level of Corporation staff, assistance in securing infrastructure access, support in coordinating with utility providers.

Anton Garanin presented the investment potential of the Nizhny Novgorod Region at the International Investment Congress in UAE
Anton Garanin, Deputy Director General for Strategy and Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, presented the region's investment potential during the specialized session “Russia – Regional Investment Forum” at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) held in Abu Dhabi from April 7 to 9.
Anton Garanin participated in the congress as part of the delegation from the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies (NAAIR). The session was organized with support from the Roscongress Foundation. During the event, participants were introduced to investment projects from Russian regions.

Territorial Managers of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation commenced support for 32 investment projects in the first quarter of 2025
In the first quarter of 2025, territorial managers of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation began supporting 32 new investment projects with a total investment volume exceeding 13 billion rubles. Upon completion, these projects are expected to create approximately 1,300 jobs across industries including manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, and others.
Enhancing investor support and service quality has become one of the key objectives of the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy”, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2025.
With the assistance of territorial managers, 11 investment projects worth 910 million rubles were implemented in the region’s municipalities, generating 277 new jobs. These projects span tourism, industry, agribusiness, and trade. For example, in the Kulebaki urban district, a facility for fish farming, canned food production, and animal feed processing was modernized.

Andrey Sanosyan, Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Igor Ishchenko, General Director of the Regional Development Corporation, and Mikhail Klinkov, Head of Dzerzhinsk, assessed the progress of engineering infrastructure construction at the state-owned site of the “Kulibin” special economic zone (SEZ).
"Large-scale construction work at the state site began exactly one year ago, and significant progress has been made on this major project during this time. Today we inspected the construction of roads and industrial buildings, as well as the installation of utility and telecommunication networks. First three-section "MiNiN" tram began trial runs on Nizhny Novgorod's routes 6 and 7
On April 1, 2025, the first three-section T856 "MiNiN" tram began operational testing on routes 6 and 7 in Nizhny Novgorod, as reported by LLC "Ecological Projects."
The trial runs are required under tramcar certification procedures and commenced after passing a technical safety inspection. Testing is being conducted on the city's most heavily used routes, where these trams are planned to operate regularly. All certification activities are carried out under the supervision and methodologies approved by the Urban Electric Transport Research Institute.
The tram is undergoing several days of testing without passengers to evaluate all operational characteristics, verify system readiness, and ensure infrastructure compatibility, including clearance compliance. Notably, the tram has a capacity of over 260 passengers, with 61 seated spaces.

The industrial production index in Nizhny Novgorod Region reached 103.8% for January-February 2025
The industrial production index in Nizhny Novgorod Region reached 103.8% for January-February 2025, with the manufacturing sector at 105.8%.
Growth was recorded across multiple industries: machinery and equipment production increased by 45.5%, computers, electronic and optical products by 39.2%, furniture by 26.9%, fabricated metal products by 22.2%, pharmaceuticals by 20.5%, coke and petroleum products by 19.3%, vehicles and equipment by 12.5%, apparel by 12.4%, other finished goods by 11.3%, and textiles by 11.2%.
"In the first two months of 2025, industrial shipments totaled approximately 346 billion rubles. This represents a 6.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Manufacturing enterprises showed 6.7% growth, shipping products worth over 308 billion rubles," said Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

A new geotextile production line began operations in Volodarsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Region
The third geotextile production line was launched in the working settlement of Ilyinogorsk, Volodarsky District, by "GeoSM", a manufacturer of geosynthetic materials. The investment project is being supported by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
Geotextile is a high-tech synthetic fiber material used in construction for soil reinforcement, drainage, erosion control, and protection of waterproofing layers.
As part of its support, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation provided the investor with general advisory assistance and helped prepare analytical materials upon request.
"With our support, the company is implementing its fifth major project – previous lines for geomembrane and geogrid production have already been launched. Representatives of the Development Corporation discussed infrastructure development and personnel provision issues with residents of the “Kulibin” SEZ
The managing company of the “Kulibin” special economic zone (SEZ) in Dzerzhinsk – the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation – held its quarterly meeting with SEZ residents.
Vadim Zhogan, Deputy General Director for Capital Construction at the Development Corporation, reported on the progress of construction work at the SEZ's state-owned site. Currently, construction teams are working on utility networks, telecommunication systems, roads and sidewalks, parking lots, and two checkpoints. Work continues on four industrial buildings and one administrative building.
It was specifically noted that the utility construction schedule aligns with enterprise commissioning timelines. A network of temporary roads has been organized to provide residents access to their sites.

SEZ “Kulibin” in Dzerzhinsk attracts 30 new residents since its expansion in 2023
Since its expansion fr om 72 to 724.7 hectares in March 2023, the "Kulibin" special economic zone (SEZ) in Dzerzhinsk has welcomed 30 new resident companies.
“Our SEZ is recognized by experts as one of the most dynamically developing special economic zones. To date, current and potential residents of the “Kulibin” SEZ have occupied over 270 hectares – more than 60% of the usable area of the preferential territory. Meanwhile, the state-owned site, wh ere active construction of engineering and transport infrastructure is underway, is already over 80% occupied,” said Andrei Sanosyan, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Currently, the “Kulibin” SEZ has 36 resident companies, with the expert council approving 39 projects totaling 123 billion rubles in investments. These projects span chemicals and petrochemicals, machinery and metallurgy, and consumer goods production, aiming to create over 5,500 jobs.
