The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation and “Vitebsk” FEZ signed a cooperation agreement
Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, and Mikhail Skurat, head of the “Vitebsk” free economic zone (FEZ) administration, signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed during the 12th Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions held in Nizhny Novgorod on June 26-27. This agreement marks the Development Corporation's first partnership with foreign special economic zones. The agreement establishes a framework for promoting joint investment projects in both the Republic of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod Region. “Belarus remains one of Nizhny Novgorod Region's key economic partners, with numerous collaborative projects already underway in our region. The Nizhny Novgorod special economic zone “Kulibin” ranks among top 3 most client-oriented industrial sites in Russia
The “Kulibin” special economic zone (SEZ) located in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region, has been ranked 3rd in the rating of client-oriented industrial parks and special economic zones compiled by the “Expert” analytical center. The rating website presents information about the top fifty industrial sites across the country. When compiling the rating, three key parameters were taken into consideration: service offerings including land plot acquisition and leasing, sale and rental of ready-to-use premises, facilities for light manufacturing operations, personnel recruitment services, logistics and warehousing solutions, as well as customs services; resource costs; and information transparency. Following expert evaluation, the “Kulibin” SEZ received an aggregate score of 92.4 out of 100 possible points. The Nizhny Novgorod Region confirmed its status as one of the leading regions in the National Investment Climate Rating compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI)
The Nizhny Novgorod Region has once again taken second place in the National Investment Climate Rating, compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI). The results of the 2024 rating were announced during the session “Business Climate in Russia: National Model and Regional Opportunities” at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on June 20. “The structure of the National Investment Climate Rating includes eight areas, which form an integrated assessment. In 2025, the rating methodology was upd ated under the president's instructions, taking into account new objectives, national goals, best international and regional practices – which is very important – and proposals fr om the business community. Resident of the Nizhny Novgorod SEZ “Kulibin” launched the production of unique import-substituting chemical product
LLC “Monamin”, a resident of the special economic zone (SEZ) “Kulibin” located in Dzerzhinsk, has launched the production of dimethyl ethanolamine (DMEA) with a mass fraction of the main substance at 99.9%. The company has become the sole Russian manufacturer of this product. The product is used in the production of linoleum, thermal insulation materials, water treatment substances, as well as in the paint and varnish, pharmaceutical, and textile industries. Over 50 investors selected land plots using Nizhny Novgorod Region's Investment Map
Over the past four years, more than 50 investors have selected land plots for their projects using the investment map of Nizhny Novgorod Region. The map's operation is overseen by the region's Development Corporation. Most frequently, entrepreneurs use the digital service to select "greenfield" sites (without existing infrastructure). These plots are intended for projects in agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and tourism. The volume of investments in fixed capital in the Nizhny Novgorod Region increased by 8.1% in the first quarter of 2025. "Despite ongoing sanctions and tight monetary policy, Nizhny Novgorod Region continues to attract investors and new projects. Manufacturing is growing, as are high-tech sectors. Large distribution center planned for construction in the Nizhny Novgorod Region
A large distribution center is planned for construction along the Nizhny Novgorod Highway in Dzerzhinsk. The facility will be leased by one of the largest retail companies. The investor, LLC "Alliance-NN", selected the land plot for the project using the Nizhny Novgorod Region Investment Map. The project is being supported by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
