The first resident of the “Kulibin” SEZ placed the “Made in Kulibin” mark on its products
The first enterprise to obtain the right to use the “Made in Kulibin” mark on its products is “RusSilika”, a manufacturer of micronized silica gels and stable silica sols. The mark was developed by the management company of the “Kulibin” SEZ – the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region – to promote the products of the SEZ’s resident enterprises.
“Applying the distinctive mark to the products of “Kulibin” SEZ residents will help to promote not only the goods produced but also the site itself among potential investors. “RusSilika” is the only manufacturer of silica gels and silica sols in the country, so I am confident that the mark will be recognized in many regions of Russia,” emphasized Egor Polyakov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
As noted by Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the distinctive mark will be placed on the products of other SEZ residents in the future.

A new excursion program is planned to be launched at the Perevozsky Horse Breeding Plant with the support of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. It is one of the oldest horse breeding enterprises in Russia, founded in 1844.
“The Perevozsky Horse Breeding Plant is a source of pride for the Nizhny Novgorod Region! The enterprise is the only farm in the region specializing in the preservation and breeding of the rare Soviet Heavy Draft horse breed. The plant has gone through different periods. Now the owner is investing both in the development of the plant and in its tourism component. I am confident that excursions to this unique enterprise will attract many visitors,” emphasized Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The owner of the organization is LLC “Agat Agro”. Currently, the enterprise keeps more than 130 horses. In 2023, it received the status of a gene pool farm.

Nizhny Novgorod Land Relations Council approved land plots for 16 projects worth more than 8 billion rubles
The Council for Land and Property Relations under the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has approved applications for the allocation of land plots for 16 projects. The meeting was held on July 28, 2026.
“Today, we approved 16 investment projects with a total value of 8 billion rubles. Among the largest is the flax fiber production project in the Sharangsky district, worth 2.7 billion rubles. This is a large‑scale project to be implemented in several phases and across several territories: the investor has already received a plot in Shakhunya. It is expected that the enterprise will produce at least 3,000 tons of flax fiber annually. The product will be used in the production of yarn and fabrics,” said Egor Polyakov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The applicant is LLC “Kotonin”. The company plans to create approximately 200 jobs. The project is being supported by the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Investment proposal for the construction of an oil extraction plant was developed in the Nizhny Novgorod Region
The Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has developed an investment proposal for the construction of an oil extraction plant with an elevator facility.
The investment proposal is a project with calculated parameters and selected land plots, requiring minimal preparatory work from a potential investor. In addition, an assessment of the region’s resource base and potential markets for the finished products has been carried out.
The investment proposal implies the creation of an oil extraction plant with an elevator complex in the Volodarsk TAD, which provides tax preferences for residents. It is planned that the enterprise will produce rapeseed oil and meal, which will subsequently be supplied to manufacturers in the food and processing industries for the production of snacks, semi-finished products, bakery goods, and animal feed.
The planned volume of investment in the project amounts to more than 2.7 billion rubles.

More than 400 new products have been published by regional producers on the “Made in the Nizhny Novgorod Region” showcase on the Ozon marketplace between January and June 2026. The initiative was implemented with the support of the regional “My Business” center.

The construction of a complex with ready made industrial premises is planned on the territory of the “Kulibin” SEZ in Bor
The construction of an industrial and production complex is planned at the site of special economic zone “Kulibin” in Bor.
“We see great business interest in ready‑made industrial premises that are already provided with all the necessary utility networks. We have involved the large AVA Group holding in addressing this task. The combination of the preferential conditions of SEZ and the ready‑made premises will allow companies to significantly reduce the time required to implement their projects. I am confident that this will make the region even more attractive for investment,” said Egor Polyakov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The project to construct the complex, with a total area of up to 90,000 sq. meters, will be implemented in three stages. The first stage is planned to be commissioned in 2029.

A Nizhny Novgorod manufacturer of electric transport plans to launch a new production facility in the “Kulibin” SEZ
The Belarusian‑Russian joint venture “Nizhekotrans” plans to launch high‑tech production of electric transport on the territory of special economic zone “Kulibin” in Dzerzhinsk.
For reference, the enterprise was established at the end of 2022. During the third quarter of the current year, the plant plans to fully complete the contract for the renewal of the rolling stock for the needs of Nizhny Novgorod, including 170 trams and 62 electric buses. The company has also fulfilled an order for the production of tram cars for Krasnodar.
On the territory of the “Kulibin” SEZ, it is planned to create a high‑tech and robotized production facility, which will make it possible to expand the range of promising products.

The construction of local treatment facilities was completed at the state site of the “Kulibin” SEZ in Dzerzhinsk
The construction of local treatment facilities has been completed at the state site of special economic zone (SEZ) “Kulibin” in Dzerzhinsk. The local treatment facilities are required to treat stormwater runoff to a level that is safe for the environment.
The state site occupies a large part of the total area of SEZ – 416 hectares out of 724.7 hectares. To date, the construction and installation works for the checkpoints, gas and power supply networks, and telecommunications have already been completed. The motor roads are in an advanced stage of readiness.
In addition, the construction of industrial and production buildings and an administrative building is underway in parallel. Works at the facilities include the installation of engineering networks, roofing, the erection of metal structures, reinforced concrete structures and facade panels, as well as the construction of driveways and outdoor lighting.
