The investment team of the Nizhny Novgorod Government presented the region’s investment opportunities to major companies

03.09.2026

The investment team of the Nizhny Novgorod Government presented the region’s investment opportunities to major companies

Representatives of more than 80 major companies took part in the meeting with the region’s investment team. The event participants discussed the solutions that help to accelerate the implementation of new investment projects and strengthen the region’s economy. The meeting was organized by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.

The event was attended by Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Egor Polyakov, Deputy Governor, Artur Batursky, Deputy Chairman of the Government, Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, Evgeny Lyulin, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and Andrey Popov, Head of the Volga‑Vyatka Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia.

“The Nizhny Novgorod Region has a professional investment team that strives to attract every investor. In addition, the region has created a favorable environment for investment and living: people come to work and relax here, generating demand for businesses. Of course, we see room for further improvement – for example, in the area of legislation and in promoting our initiatives among entrepreneurs. This work is carried out on a regular basis,” Egor Polyakov emphasized.

Addressing the meeting participants, the Deputy Governor urged businesses to invest in research and development activities, leveraging the existing infrastructure – in particular, “Technopark H2O” located at the “Kulibin” special economic zone (SEZ).

During the event, Igor Ishchenko and Konstantin Nikonorov, Director for Infrastructure Projects at AVA GROUP, presented to entrepreneurs the prospects for developing the region’s investment infrastructure, including plans to build a number of industrial parks, ready‑made industrial premises at the “Kulibin” SEZ in Bor, and clusters of the “Quantum” Valley” innovative scientific and technological center.

Denis Zhuravsky, Executive Director of the Association of Industrial Parks of Russia, shared federal trends in the creation of ready‑made industrial premises and best practices in industrial infrastructure.

Andrey Popov, Head of the Volga‑Vyatka Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia, explained which key rate parameters businesses should take into account and suggested broadening the focus to include stock market instruments.

Timofey Buneev, Deputy Director for Development at the Association of Clusters, Technoparks and SEZs of Russia, presented the best practices for implementing ESG principles in preferential territories.

In addition, the participants discussed current business support measures, the development of export activities, and other issues related to investment policy.

“We welcome investors with projects in a wide range of sectors – fr om tourism to heavy industry. To ensure their smooth implementation, the region is creating preferential territories and introducing new approaches to working with businesses. Such meetings help identify problem areas and develop solutions together,” Igor Ishchenko noted.

It was highlighted at the meeting that, based on the results of 2025, the Nizhny Novgorod Region secured second place in the ASI National Rating of the Investment Climate.

“This event is a frank and open dialogue between business and government. We discuss the real needs of entrepreneurs, infrastructure constraints, and ways to overcome them. We view the “Kulibin” SEZ and the region’s industrial sites as a territory of opportunities, wh ere investors should receive maximum benefits – from preferential taxation to ready‑made engineering infrastructure. The common goal of the region’s deputies and government is to create conditions that attract investment to the Nizhny Novgorod Region and turn it into modern production facilities and new jobs. I am confident that such meetings help find effective solutions and strengthen our partnership,” Evgeny Lyulin, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, said.

The partners of the event included AVA Group, Ingosstrakh, Keyterinburg, Sber, Tosol‑Sintez, Sila Vetra, the Fregat Yacht Club, Russkoe Pole, the Sobaka.ru multimedia project, HSE University – Nizhny Novgorod, Amplituda Printing House, AM Design, Vetluga Mineral Water, and Pomestye Maslovskoe.
