Street names were assigned to the “Kulibin” SEZ in Dzerzhinsk
By a resolution of the Dzerzhinsk City Administration, five streets at the state site of the special economic zone (SEZ) “Kulibin” have been assigned names: Instrumentalnaya, Polimernaya, Titanovaya, Trubnaya and Bumazhnaya.
For instance, the production facility of carbide metal‑cutting tools “Aksis” is located on Instrumentalnaya Street, while the construction of a pipeline systems production facility by LLC Research and Production Enterprise “Modern Pipeline Systems” is planned on Trubnaya Street.
“The state site covers more than 416 hectares, which constitutes the majority of the area of the Dzerzhinsk section of the “Kulibin” SEZ . Assigning names to the streets helps make this territory more comfortable for visitors to the site,” noted Egor Polyakov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The management company of the “Kulibin” SEZ is the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
“Infrastructure is being actively developed at the state site of the special economic zone, and the territory is transforming every day. The street names not only simplify navigation around the site but also carry symbolic significance – the street names reflect some of the main activity areas of our residents,” said Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
In turn, Mikhail Klinkov, Head of the City of Dzerzhinsk, noted that the emergence of dedicated streets marks an important stage in the development of the “Kulibin” SEZ.
“We can see how a robust infrastructure is being built at the SEZ territory year after year, new residents are starting operations, and I am confident that this is just the beginning of a long journey towards further development of our city,” he emphasized.
For reference, the industrial special economic zone “Kulibin” was established in May 2020 on the territory of the Dzerzhinsk urban district. Today, the Dzerzhinsk part of the “Kulibin” SEZ covers an area of 724,7 hectares and includes the state site (416,7 ha), as well as private sites operated by DPO “Plastic”, “Oka‑Polymer”, and “Sintez OKA”. The private sites are already equipped with infrastructure. In November 2025, the Russian Government issued a resolution to expand the SEZ territory by another 117,7 hectares, incorporating a site in the city of Bor. The total area of the “Kulibin” SEZ now amounts to 842,4 hectares.
