The forum “Chemistry of a Great Country” will be held in Dzerzhinsk on May 26-27

The forum‑exhibition “Chemistry of a Great Country. Dzerzhinsk” will take place on May 26-27, 2026. The organizers are the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, the Administration of Dzerzhinsk, the Russian Union of Chemists, the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs “Dzerzhinskkhimregion” and the industrial agency “H Media”.

The forum is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

“Dzerzhinsk has always been famous for its chemical industry, and holding such a forum once again underscores the city’s significance. The event continues the tradition established by the successful forum “Capital of Chemistry” in 2024. Moreover, it launches the cycle of regional business forums “Chemistry of a Great Country” – after Dzerzhinsk, such forums will be held in other regional centers of the chemical industry in 2026-2030. The business program addresses issues of state support for the industry, development of a circular economy, workforce shortages and other topics. We expect the event in Dzerzhinsk to bring together more than 500 representatives of leading industry enterprises and executive bodies,” said Egor Polyakov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The key event of the forum’s first day will be the plenary session “Route for Implementing the National Project “New Materials and Chemistry” in the Nizhny Novgorod Region”, where participants will discuss the interim results of this project, the region’s investment attractiveness, and issues of technological independence.

Separate tracks will focus on the opportunities of regional chemical engineering, specifics of chemical cargo logistics, as well as the introduction of artificial intelligence, digital twins and robotics in production facilities.
In addition, the forum will feature an exhibition exposition where leading companies will present cutting‑edge technological and digital solutions, equipment and materials.

“Participating in the forum will allow us to demonstrate to potential investors the advantages of our special economic zone “Kulibin”, one of whose main activity areas is chemistry and petrochemistry. Guests will be able to see the already launched resident enterprises and learn about the progress in building infrastructure at the state‑owned site,” noted Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.

He added that currently 58 companies are residents of the special economic zone, investing more than 164 billion rubles.

“Dzerzhinsk hosts and successfully develops the special economic zone “Kulibin”, an eco‑industrial park with a circular economy is being created, and there is an opportunity to locate production facilities in industrial zones. Furthermore, we have large, medium‑sized, and small chemical enterprises successfully operating here. Such forums are necessary for the city to attract investors, and for enterprises – to exchange experience, find new partners, and develop strategic decisions for the industry’s development together with government representatives,” emphasized Mikhail Klinkov, Head of Dzerzhinsk.
