The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation and the Kstovo Petroleum College signed a cooperation agreement

Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, and Tatyana Razina, Director of the Kstovo Petroleum College, have signed a cooperation agreement between the organizations.

The parties intend to organize career guidance events for the college students and to cooperate in the areas of professional development and training of specialists for residents of the special economic zone (SEZ) “Kulibin”.

“The Advanced Vocational Training Centre in the petrochemical industry, which operates at the Kstovo Petroleum College, opens up new opportunities for residents of the “Kulibin” SEZ, a significant portion of which are implementing projects in chemistry and petrochemistry. The cooperation will allow students to learn through real‑world production tasks and interact directly with leading industry enterprises, while companies will be able to promote employment at their facilities,” said Igor Ishchenko.

In addition, the agreement implies holding joint conferences, olympiads and other events for students.

“Cooperation with one of the flagships of regional development – the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation – will allow us to deepen our focus on actual enterprises of the chemical cluster and update specialist training programs, implement graduate employment projects, develop the human resources potential of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and, of course, exchange experience in the field of innovative technologies. This undoubtedly gives young people new opportunities and development landmarks in the industry. Together, we are taking a step towards shaping the future of petrochemistry in the region,” noted Tatyana Razina.

For reference, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation – the management company of SEZ – is implementing a comprehensive program to provide human resources for the site’s residents. It includes analyzing companies’ needs and establishing a system of cooperation with educational institutions: developing new and adjusting the existing educational programs, organizing student internships at SEZ enterprises, launching targeted training programs, and implementing career and career‑guidance projects.

Currently, Nizhny Novgorod students can take guided tours of the production site of “Sintez OKA” group of companies, which is part of the “Kulibin” SEZ, as well as facilities operated by resident companies “RusSilika”, “Plastmatika”, “Homa Company”, and “RT‑Composite Gas Cylinders”. Earlier, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation signed cooperation agreements with Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, Nizhny Novgorod State Architectural and Construction University, HSE University – Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod Industrial College, and Kstovo Petroleum College.
