The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation and the Dzerzhinsk Chemical College signed a cooperation agreement

Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, and Egor Nikitin, Director of the Dzerzhinsk Chemical College named after the Red Army, signed a cooperation agreement between the organizations. The main goal of the cooperration is to meet the staffing needs of residents of special economic zone (SEZ) “Kulibin”.

As part of the cooperation, the parties plan to train specialists and facilitate the organization of internships at SEZ enterprises.

“The Dzerzhinsk Chemical College has a wide range of competencies for training specialists needed by our SEZ residents. We have already established close cooperation with the institution in the area of career guidance for students, and the agreement signed will allow us to expand the scope of our partnership,” said Igor Ishchenko.

The cooperation also involves adjusting the existing and newly developed educational programs to the needs of modern production facilities.

“Cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation is a step forward towards the real economy sector. Together, we are strengthening the focus of educational programs on actual enterprises, implementing graduate employment projects and developing the region’s human resources. Key priorities include exchanging innovations and providing young people with clear career landmarks in the industry. Together, we are shaping the future of the chemical industry in Dzerzhinsk and the Nizhny Novgorod Region as a whole,” noted Egor Nikitin.

For reference, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation – the management company of SEZ – is implementing a comprehensive program to provide human resources for the site’s residents. It includes analyzing companies’ needs and establishing a system of cooperation with educational institutions: developing new and adjusting the existing educational programs, organizing student internships at SEZ enterprises, launching targeted training programs, and implementing career and career‑guidance projects.

As part of this program, at least three educational and practical programs aligned with the staffing needs of residents are scheduled to launch in 2026. Specific areas are currently under development.

Currently, Nizhny Novgorod students can take guided tours of the production site of “Sintez OKA” group of companies, which is part of the “Kulibin” SEZ, as well as facilities operated by resident companies “RusSilika”, “Plastmatika”, “Homa Company”, and “RT‑Composite Gas Cylinders”. Earlier, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation signed cooperation agreements with Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, Nizhny Novgorod State Architectural and Construction University, HSE University – Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod Industrial College, and Kstovo Petroleum College.
