A universal investment proposal for creating a fish farm was developed in the Nizhny Novgorod Region
The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation has developed its eighth universal – “boxed” – investment proposal. This is a project to create a fish farm.
Such proposals are projects with pre‑calculated parameters that require minimal preparatory work from a potential investor. This allows for starting the project implementation in the shortest possible time and significantly reduces its payback period.
The project involves the creation of a facility for year‑round fish farming, with the option of offering paid fishing services. Fish species proposed for breeding include carp, silver carp and grass carp.
The minimum investment volume required for the project is 16.7 million rubles. The implementation period is at least 23 months, and the payback period is 5 years.
The Corporation stressed that the advantages of such facilities include high demand for local fish products, strong profitability potential and reduced regional dependence on imports. Requirements for the investment site are as follows: area – from 3 to 8 ha, power supply – 30-100 kW, water supply – via a well, wastewater disposal – via a septic tank. In addition, the site must include a water body.
Investors wishing to implement such a project have access to a range of state support measures: preferential loans, investment lending and “umbrella” guarantees.
At present, four sites in four municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region have been selected for the implementation of this investment proposal. The solution can be reviewed on the region’s investment portal.
“Fish farming is one of the most promising investment niches in the region. In addition to selling the products, the investment proposal also includes offering paid fishing services, which are gaining popularity. Those wishing to implement such a project can contact the Development Corporation – our specialists will provide consultations on all relevant questions and support the project until the facility is commissioned,” said Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
Earlier, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation presented universal investment proposals for establishing a tourist complex with a glamping hotel, a sports complex with a climbing wall, a “smart” modular sports facility, roadside service facilities, a tourist complex with modular houses, robotic car washes, and for adapting cultural heritage sites for hotel business within the region. Currently, work is underway with investors planning to implement several of these projects.
