Section dedicated to investment projects in the field of cultural heritage sites was launched on the Nizhny Novgorod Region investment portal
A section dedicated to investment projects in the field of cultural heritage sites has been launched on the investment portal of the Nizhny Novgorod Region: (https://nn-invest.ru/en/support/okn/). The service was developed by the Development Corporation based on data provided by the autonomous non‑commercial organization “Agency for the Preservation and Development of Historical Environment Objects of the Nizhny Novgorod Region” (ANO “ASIRIS”).
The section features a “Project Showcase”, which allows users to review a list of properties available for investment and subsequent commercialization. It also includes a “Become an Investor” form, through which one can submit an application to implement a specific project.
Currently, the service contains information on 39 objects across 15 municipalities. For each of them, key characteristics are provided, along with proposed methods of engagement and intended uses.
“Investors are increasingly showing interest in cultural heritage sites. To facilitate the implementation of such projects, the Development Corporation has previously developed an investment proposal for adapting cultural heritage sites into hotels. The new section on the investment portal brings together all the necessary information for entrepreneurs interested in preserving the region’s cultural heritage and integrating historical properties into the modern urban environment,” noted Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
In addition, the section provides information on available support measures, links to useful digital services, and relevant legislation.
Investors implementing projects for the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage sites have access to various subsidies and tax incentives, preferential lending, and the option to lease the property and the underlying land plot for just one ruble.
“The overarching key task of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Government, ASIRIS, and the Development Corporation is to preserve the region’s historical heritage while bringing it into economic circulation. Historic houses and buildings should be given a chance at a vibrant second life – with a new function, yet with respect for their past. To achieve this, it is essential to provide potential investors with comprehensive support in a timely and effective manner. ASIRIS, as a “one‑stop shop” for investor engagement in cultural heritage sites, oversees the dynamic Catalogue of Historical Real Estate in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and works to promote the concept of “investment in heritage”. For us, the launch of a dedicated section on the regional investment portal is another step towards entrepreneurs interested in developing their businesses within the historical environment,” said Ekaterina Kryunas, Director General of ANO “ASIRIS”.
On the investment portal, entrepreneurs can access detailed information about the Nizhny Novgorod Region and its municipalities, including available infrastructure and regional support measures. Additionally, they can submit applications for land plot selection and request support for investment projects, get acquainted with the current investment offers and implemented elements of the regional investment standard
Key resources available on the portal include the Investment Map (https://newmap.nn-invest.ru/#/en/map), which currently features over 470 investment territories and includes a video guide to help users adapt to the map’s functionality.
There is also a Survey Module (https://nn-invest.ru/surveys/) that enables entrepreneurs to evaluate the regulatory environment, business institutions, infrastructure, and support for small and medium‑sized enterprises.
Entrepreneurs can contact the corporation via several channels: a hotline (0052), a chatbot integrated into the investment portal, or the contact numbers listed in the “Contacts” section of the portal.
JSC “Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation” was established at the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin. The organization facilitates project implementation at every stage – from providing information about the region and possible support measures, to inspecting investment sites and commissioning facilities. It assumes responsibility for coordinating with executive authorities, local governments, natural monopolies, and other relevant organizations.
