The Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region signed cooperation agreement with colleagues from the Altai Republic

Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and Ilnur Sirayev, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Altai Republic, have signed a cooperation agreement between the organizations.

Under the agreement, the parties plan to support the implementation of joint investment projects and establish business contacts between enterprises in the regions. They will also exchange best practices for improving the investment climate and organize business missions for entrepreneurs.

“The Development Corporation is expanding its pool of partners among Russian regions. We are always open to cooperation and are happy to share our accumulated experience with colleagues. Even in conditions of some competition for investors, regional investment teams are working towards the same goal – developing and strengthening the country’s economy,” said Igor Ishchenko.

During the meeting, representatives of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region shared their agency’s experience in supporting investment projects, developing the “Kulibin” special economic zone (SEZ), implementing concession agreements, and designing and building investment infrastructure.

“The Altai Republic is open to adopting best practices and is committed to mutually beneficial cooperation between corporations and regions in implementing interregional investment projects that go beyond a single subject. This approach helps to improve the investment climate in the regions and strengthen the country’s economy as a whole. Our key task is to foster sustainable investment growth and ensure technological sovereignty,” emphasized Ilnur Sirayev.

Previously, the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region signed cooperation agreements with development agencies of the Murmansk, Saratov, and Voronezh Regions, as well as with the administrations of the free economic zones “Vitebsk” and “Minsk”.

JSC “Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation” was established at the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin. The organization facilitates project implementation at every stage – from providing information about the region and possible support measures, to inspecting investment sites and commissioning facilities. It assumes responsibility for coordinating with executive authorities, local governments, natural monopolies, and other relevant organizations.

To date, the Development Corporation is supporting around 350 investment projects with a total investment volume exceeding 369 billion rubles.
