The Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Minin University signed a cooperation agreement on personnel training
Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and Viktor Sdobnyakov, Rector of Kozma Minin Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University, signed a cooperation agreement. The document is aimed at addressing the staffing needs of residents of the “Kulibin” special economic zone (SEZ).
In particular, the parties plan to jointly develop and implement specialized professional educational programs, carry out career guidance activities with schoolchildren and students, promote targeted training of students, and organize internships at SEZ enterprises.
“Employees are the foundation of any enterprise, so the Development Corporation, together with investors, pays significant attention to the issue of training highly qualified personnel. I have no doubt that the cooperation will be beneficial for both parties: it will allow enterprises to meet their staffing needs and enable the university to produce professionals in various fields,” said Igor Ishchenko.
Furthermore, the cooperation implies holding joint research events, conferences, competitions, and exhibitions.
“To enhance the quality of training specialists in natural sciences and improve the overall quality of education, we have started developing engineering tracks in such areas as IT, physics, and chemistry. To organize this work, it is crucial to have industry professionals take on the role of educational program leaders at the university. We have established a chemical technology faculty specifically for the chemical industry. Taken together, these measures will help us produce specialists who are oriented towards specific enterprises and technologies from the outset. This is why interaction with the Corporation and residents of the “Kulibin” SEZ is so important for us,” noted Viktor Sdobnyakov.
It should be recalled that the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region – the management company of SEZ – has developed a comprehensive personnel support program for the site’s residents. It includes analyzing companies’ needs, establishing a system of interaction with educational institutions, organizing student internships and traineeships at resident companies, implementing targeted training programs, running career and career guidance projects, and providing a set of tools for promptly filling vacancies.
Currently, the special economic zone has 55 resident companies, which will create more than 7 thousand jobs at the site.
Earlier, the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region signed cooperation agreements with Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, HSE University — Nizhny Novgorod, and Nizhny Novgorod State Architectural and Construction University.
