The laureates of the «Investor of the Year» award in the Nizhny Novgorod Region were announced

The winners of the «Investor of the Year» award, initiated by the Development Corporation with the support of the regional government, have been determined in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The awards were presented to the laureates during a meeting dedicated to the year’s investment results by Deputy Governor Andrey Sanosyan and Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.

«The Nizhny Novgorod Region is an attractive area for investment, and the fact that the region ranks second after the capital in the National Rating of the Investment Climate, compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, proves this. But this does not mean that we are sitting idly by; on the contrary, we must work even harder and more efficiently. The award is an important opportunity for us to thank those people who invest in our region», — emphasized Andrey Sanosyan.

In turn, Igor Ishchenko noted that the companies awarded within the framework of the prize are among the drivers of economic development in the Nizhny Novgorod Region across a number of sectors.

«I am confident that their successes will inspire regional entrepreneurs to launch new projects and will serve as proof that development is possible even in challenging economic conditions», — said the Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.

The expert council of the award evaluated the projects based on the following criteria: impact on industry development, investment volume, alignment with the region’s strategic development goals, project payback period, projected volume of tax payments to budgets at all levels, cost reduction and product quality improvement, participation in federal and regional social events as a partner/co‑organizer, uniqueness of the project/product for the Russian market, expenditures on research and development (R&D) activities, and others.

The company LLC «RusSilika» was named «Investor of the Year». It launched the production of micronized silica gels and stable silica sols in June 2025 at the special economic zone «Kulibin» in Dzerzhinsk. The total investment in the project amounted to 21 billion rubles, and more than 200 jobs were created.

«Our debut in the Nizhny Novgorod Region has been successful: we have implemented the plant construction project and are continuing to develop. In the coming year, I wish everyone successful debuts», — said Svetlana Titova, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of LLC «RusSilika».

Winners in the «Best Investment Project» category were selected in three categories based on investment volume. They are: LLC «Modern Pipeline Systems» with a project for a full‑cycle plant for the production of pipeline systems (in the category of projects with investments exceeding 1 billion rubles), LLC «Loimina Pro» — production of paints and adhesives (from 500 million to 1 billion rubles), JSC «Corporation of Special Machinery» (part of the «Ruspolimet» Group) — a project to create a hot isostatic press (from 200 to 500 million rubles).

«The company was recognized for the project to create the gasostatic press GIP 2200. This is a complex that was built for the first time in the country. In its class — in terms of size and specifications — it is the third gasostat in the world, which is now successfully operating, fulfilling the production program, and working for the benefit of Russia. The implementation of such a project is a great effort by the designers, engineers, technologists, and workers of the „Ruspolimet“ Group», — noted Denis Shishov, Deputy General Director of JSC «Corporation of Special Machinery».

LLC «GeoSM» (producer of geogrids and geotextiles) was recognized as the «Flagship of Productivity», while the agricultural production cooperative «Berezniki» won in the «Socially Responsible Investor» category.

JSC «Arzamas Instrument-Making Plant named after P. I. Plandina» received the award in the «Investments in Human Capital» category. LLC «Atlantis» (bakery production) won in the «Investment Startup» category, while LLC «Research Centre» (development of small- and medium-tonnage chemistry technologies) was recognized as the best in the «Investments in Innovation» category.

LLC «SP „Nizhekotrans“» won in the special category «Innovations in Urban Electric Transport» with its project to create the three‑section tram «MiNiN».

The partners of the event were the companies «Ingosstrakh», «Metallservis», «Sladkaya Zhizn Plus», «RusSilika», multimedia «Sobaka.ru», and the National Research University Higher School of Economics — Nizhny Novgorod.

It should be recalled that in 2025 the Nizhny Novgorod region confirmed its status as one of the leading regions in the Agency for Strategic Initiatives’ National Rating of the Investment Climate.
