The Nizhny Novgorod Region won six categories at the «Leaders of Investment Development 2025» award

The Nizhny Novgorod Region has won six categories of the National Award «Leaders of Investment Development‑2025», receiving the Grand Prix. The award is organized by the non‑profit organization «National Association of Investment and Development Agencies» (NAAIR). The awards were presented by Alexander Novak, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, and Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and Co‑Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies (NAAIR).

In total, 224 applications were submitted for the award by 61 development agencies across 10 categories. The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation received the Grand Prix of the award, winning simultaneously in 6 out of the 10 categories.

«The Nizhny Novgorod Region has become the only region in the country to receive the Grand Prix of the award. Many true professionals work on behalf of investors within our team, thanks to which the region has already become a hub for federal‑level projects», — emphasized Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

In the «Development Agency of the Year» category, the winner was the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation. In the «Specialist of the Year (Project Support)» category, Nikita Mochkaev, Head of the Investment Attraction Department at the Regional Development Corporation, was named the best. In the «Specialist of the Year (Investor Attraction)» category, Dmitry Druzhkin, Managing Director for Communication Policy and Marketing, took the top spot. The Nizhny Novgorod Region investment portal was recognized in the «Best Investment Portal» category. Additionally, the Development Corporation won the «Colleagues’ Recognition» award.

Furthermore, in the «Investor of the Year» category, projects by LLC «RusSilika» (production of silica gels and silica sols) and LLC «Axis» (production of carbide tools), both implemented in the special economic zone «Kulibin» in Dzerzhinsk, were acknowledged.

In turn, Andrey Sanosyan, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, noted that the region has assembled a strong investment team, which has allowed it to secure a leading position in the Agency for Strategic Initiatives’ (ASI) National Rating of the Investment Climate, as well as to attract major investors.

«The projects recognized today in the „Investor of the Year“ category are aimed at creating import‑substituting products in the fields of chemistry and metalworking — some of the most important sectors of the Russian economy. We are constantly seeking new solutions in working with investors, creating the most comfortable conditions for businesses in the region», — he said.

According to Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, the organization currently supports more than 360 investment projects.

«These are projects in a wide range of sectors: from large industrial enterprises to small hotels in municipalities. A highly qualified team of specialists provides support on all issues that arise. Each member of the development agency’s team has contributed to this victory; I thank the experts for evaluating our team’s work at the federal level», — said Igor Ishchenko.

It should be recalled that in 2024, the Nizhny Novgorod Region won four categories of the National Award «Leaders of Investment Development». Three specialists from the Development Corporation and the regional investment map received awards. According to the results of 2023, the Development Corporation and the Nizhny Novgorod Region Investment Portal were recognized as the best in Russia.
