Expert Council for the Development of the Nizhny Novgorod SEZ «Kulibin» approved five projects worth over 19 billion rubles
The Expert Council for the Development of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) «Kulibin» has endorsed the applications of five companies implementing projects in the fields of chemistry, metallurgy, and shipbuilding. The meeting was chaired by Andrey Sanosyan, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
«The special economic zone „Kulibin“ is one of the largest production sites in the region. Every year, it becomes more efficient, opening up new opportunities for business development. Investors are actively filling the SEZ sites; to date, the total investment volume for projects approved by the Expert Council amounts to over 167 billion rubles», — said Andrey Sanosyan.
Thus, LLC «Purus» intends to build a plant for the production of high‑purity gases used in electronics manufacturing (semiconductors and other components). The investor plans to inject over 200 million rubles into the project, creating 55 jobs.
LLC «CMS Chaika» plans to establish a modular shipbuilding canter. The enterprise will produce various platforms used in construction in water areas, inspection of underwater structures, and marine surveys. The project’s investment volume is 350 million rubles, with 34 jobs to be created.
LLC «Skynet» intends to set up a cable production facility for various industries. The project will receive 250 million rubles in funding, with plans to create 25 jobs.
LLC «Volga Stankoprivod» is implementing a project to create an import‑substituting production of components for numerically controlled machine tools. The investment volume is 145 million rubles, with plans to create 15 jobs.
Another company intends to launch a large chemical production facility within the special economic zone. The project’s investment volume amounts to 18.4 billion rubles, with plans to create 484 jobs.
The managing company of the SEZ «Kulibin» is the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.

It is especially important that many projects are aimed at addressing import substitution challenges and meeting key needs of domestic industry. As the managing company, we provide residents with all the necessary support for successful project implementation», — said Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
