The overall completion rate of the Ice Palace at Strelka in Nizhny Novgorod stands at around 97 %
At the construction site, finishing works for public spaces and sub‑tribune areas are nearing completion. Final finishing has been completed on over 90 % of the areas. Facade installation work on the arena has exceeded 95 % completion. The installation of engineering equipment, as well as on‑site and internal utility networks, is nearing completion. Landscaping of the adjacent territory has been carried out on over 90 % of the area.
«At present, most of the construction work at the facility has either been completed or will be finished shortly. The contractor is now actively installing equipment and preparing to begin commissioning and adjustment work», – said Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
It should be recalled that the Ice Palace will consist of a main arena with stands seating 12 000 people and two training areas, each accommodating 250 spectators. The complex will also include a multi‑purpose sports hall and a gymnastics hall. Construction is being carried out under a concession agreement between the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and LLC «Ice Palace» (a subsidiary of JSC «Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation»).
