Anton Garanin presented the investment potential of the Nizhny Novgorod Region at the International Investment Congress in UAE
Anton Garanin, Deputy Director General for Strategy and Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, presented the region's investment potential during the specialized session “Russia – Regional Investment Forum” at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) held in Abu Dhabi from April 7 to 9.
Anton Garanin participated in the congress as part of the delegation from the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies (NAAIR). The session was organized with support from the Roscongress Foundation. During the event, participants were introduced to investment projects from Russian regions.
Specifically, the Deputy Head of the Development Corporation presented the opportunities of the “Kulibin” special economic zone (SEZ), major projects underway in the region, and available investor support measures.
“Nizhny Novgorod Region is one of Russia's most investment-attractive and promising regions. We see significant interest in our industrial sites, and with current plans to expand our key regional platform – the “Kulibin” SEZ – our manufacturers across various sectors can access new markets with foreign partners. We are committed to developing foreign economic ties and establishing reliable business connections with representatives from the UAE and other partner countries,” he emphasized.
This year's congress theme focused on “Adapting to a Shifting Investment Landscape: Harnessing New Potential for Global Economic Development”.
Since 2025, “Boosting Investment Activity” has been one of the federal projects under the national “Efficient and Competitive Economy” initiative launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin. This project serves as the primary tool for shaping a new growth model, incorporating federal projects aimed at SME development, productivity growth, investment expansion, low-carbon development, and enhancing state statistics and forecasting systems.
