Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation and FEZ “Brest” signed a cooperation agreement
Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and Vadim Kravchuk, Head of the Administration of the free economic zone (FEZ) “Brest” (Republic of Belarus), signed a cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the InRussia-2025 International Forum and Exhibition, held on October 9-10 in Stavropol Krai.The agreement provides for assistance from the parties in implementing existing and attracting new investment projects in the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
“The Development Corporation continues to establish cooperation with one of the key economic partners of the Nizhny Novgorod Region – the Republic of Belarus. Previously, we signed relevant agreements with the free economic zones “Vitebsk” and “Minsk”. The cooperation opens up new opportunities for expanding business for Russian and Belarusian entrepreneurs, including in preferential territories”, noted Igor Ishchenko.
In addition, the Development Corporation and FEZ “Brest” plan to cooperate in organizing events aimed at familiarizing potential investors with the economic potential and business climate of the Republic of Belarus and the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
“The Administration of FEZ “Brest” expresses confidence in the further development of mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation with the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region within the framework of the signed agreement, aimed at expanding industrial cooperation, technology exchange, and strengthening economic ties between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation”, said Vadim Kravchuk.
It should be noted that the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has also signed cooperation agreements with development agencies of the Murmansk and Saratov Regions.
The Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region was established on the initiative of Governor Gleb Nikitin. The organization facilitates project implementation at all stages — from providing information about the region, possible support measures, inspection of investment sites to commissioning of the facility, taking on obligations to interact with executive authorities, local governments, natural monopolies, and other organizations. To date, the Development Corporation is supporting over 300 projects with a total investment volume exceeding 320 billion rubles.
