Investment proposal for potato processing plant construction was developed in the Nizhny Novgorod Region

The Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has developed an investment proposal for the construction of a potato processing plant to produce potato flakes.

The investment proposal represents a project with calculated parameters and selected land plots, requiring minimal preparatory work fr om a potential investor. Additionally, an assessment of the region’s resource base and potential markets for the finished product has been conducted.

The estimated investment volume for the project is 3.3 billion rubles, with an expected production capacity of over 22 thousand tons of products per year. Four land plots are offered to investors for its implementation: in the Dalnekonstantinovsky and Lukoyanovsky municipal districts, as well as in the city of Arzamas.

A potential investor can qualify for several preferential lending programs, as well as loans for the purchase of industrial equipment.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, by the end of 2024, the region occupies a leading position in potato production in the Volga Federal District and ranks fifth in Russia. In 2024, 696 thousand tons of potatoes were harvested. The Nizhny Novgorod Region has several advantages that make it promising for potato cultivation — optimal climatic conditions and a high level of hydro-reclamation implementation.
