Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation selected 90 sites for investment projects since the beginning of the year
Specialists of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation selected 90 sites for entrepreneurs to implement their projects in the first 7 months of 2025.
The Nizhny Novgorod Region follows a one-stop shop principle for supporting investment projects. This regulation streamlines the review process for investor applications. Specifically, it sets a deadline of 3 working days for executive authorities or local governments to transfer information from an investor to the Development Corporation, which operates under the one-stop shop principle. The period from the investor’s initial contact with government agencies to receiving specific site proposals for construction should not exceed 14 days.
When selecting sites for investment projects, the Development Corporation specialists use investment maps of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Russian Federation, as well as open sources, including data from the State Information System for Urban Development Activities in the region. Currently, entrepreneurs have access to approximately 500 investment sites on the Nizhny Novgorod Region investment map.
For example, in 2025, within 3 days, a land plot was selected in the Borsky District for a glamping park with an investment volume of 60 million rubles, as well as a site in Nizhny Novgorod for creating a complex for the production and storage of metal structures, with an investment volume of 200 million rubles.
“The one-stop shop principle allows the Development Corporation to significantly reduce time and financial costs in project implementation and enhances the efficiency of interaction with authorities. Our specialists provide businesses with all necessary support: from consulting on state support measures and site selection to commissioning enterprises and subsequent expansions,” said Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
Let us recall that the Nizhny Novgorod Region ranks second in the National Investment Climate Rating compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
