Business highly appreciates the work of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation and regional investment map functionality
The Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation conducted a survey among investors to assess their satisfaction with the agency's performance in the first half of 2025.
The survey results showed a satisfaction coefficient of 5 points. In the second quarter of 2024, this indicator was at 4.99 points.
Investors evaluated the corporation’s activities based on eight criteria: informing about available support measures, assistance in interacting with regional and local authorities, help in selecting land for implementing an investment project, one-stop service interaction with investors, assistance in dealing with financial institutions, employees' professional competence, facilitation of infrastructure access, and help in cooperating with utility providers.
Additionally, the development corporation surveyed respondents regarding the quality of implementation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region investment map. Respondents assessed the service across five parameters: accessibility when searching online, ease of use, data reliability, usefulness during launch and preparation of investment projects, relevance and value of posted information.
The satisfaction coefficient reached 4.98 out of 5 possible points. At the end of the second half of 2024, this figure stood at 4.95 points.
"The foundation for further improvement of the Development Corporation's operations and digital services is always investor feedback. This objective assessment helps identify areas that still need enhancement. However, high scores from surveys are not grounds for complacency — enhancing the level of quality in working with investors remains a priority for our specialists," said Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
The interactive regional investment map (https://newmap.nn-invest.ru/#/en) is a bilingual (in Russian and English) public map of the Nizhny Novgorod region providing details on investment sites, real estate objects, existing preferential zones, transport infrastructure, mineral resources, and support measures. Additionally, it integrates a cadastral map as an extra layer.
This map has been developed according to the regional investment standard aimed at creating favorable conditions for doing business. Components of the investment standard include an investment declaration, development agency, investment committee, investment map, and a set of investment rules detailing the entire “customer journey” for investors. The standard aims to optimize interactions between investors and government bodies/utility suppliers while reducing project implementation timelines. Currently, all elements of the investment standard have been implemented in the region.
