Agreement on construction of a data processing center in the Nizhny Novgorod Region was signed at "CIPR-2025" conference

In the presence of Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin, Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation, and Salavat Rakhmatullin, Director General of Atomdata-Innopolis JSC (part of State Corporation "Rosatom"), signed an agreement on the construction of a data processing center (DPC) in the region. The signing ceremony took place on June 3, 2025, at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair as part of the "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" ("CIPR-2025") conference.

According to Gleb Nikitin, the signed document formalizes agreements reached in January 2025 during Rosatom Day.

"Our colleagues from Rosatom are actively investing in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Today, we signed a major cooperation agreement with Rosatom’s Director General Alexey Likhachev on implementing large-scale social and investment projects, and with this document, we have confirmed the plans to build a data processing center. This is an extremely important project for our region, which is pursuing ambitious IT initiatives," emphasized Gleb Nikitin.

Under the agreement, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation will assist the company in gathering and preparing necessary documentation, selecting a land plot for construction, and connecting the center to power grids. The project will be implemented in three stages, to be completed by 2031.

"Numerous large-scale IT projects are currently underway in Nizhny Novgorod Region, increasing the need for additional computing power to support further development. Moreover, the new DPC will enhance the security and reliability of existing digital services. We will make every effort to ensure the successful implementation of this crucial project for the region," said Igor Ishchenko.

"Nizhny Novgorod Region was chosen for this project due to its advanced scientific and technical infrastructure, highly skilled workforce, and advantageous geographical location. The construction of the DPC will strengthen the region’s position as one of Russia’s leading hubs for IT innovation," noted Salavat Rakhmatullin.

The 10th "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" ("CIPR") conference is being held in Nizhny Novgorod from June 2 to 5, 2025. The event is organized by OMG Company with the support of the Russian Government, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media, and the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Hosting specialized IT conferences and exhibitions aligns with the objectives of the new national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State", implemented in Russia since 2025 under the directive of President Vladimir Putin.
