The Expert Council of the “Kulibin” SEZ approved two more projects with a total investment volume of almost 500 million rubles

The Expert Council of the “Kulibin” special economic zone (SEZ), located in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region, supported the applications of Privolzhsky Catalyst Plant LLC and CityMedia Techno LLC to receive the status of SEZ residents. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrey Sanosyan.

“The “Kulibin” SEZ is a very popular site, and now most of its territory has already been distributed among investors. The Expert Council has reviewed 41 projects in total, and agreements have already been concluded for 38. The total investment volume is about 125 billion rubles, and it is planned to create 6 thousand jobs. Now we have seriously changed our approach: when considering applications from potential residents, we look not so much at the number of jobs created, but at how productive they are,” said Andrey Sanosyan.

Privolzhsky Catalyst Plant LLC intends to build a plant for the production of catalysts and adsorbents. The products are used in chemical and petrochemical plants to create synthetic rubbers (rubber products), plastics, polyethylene, polypropylene and other materials. The volume of investments in the project exceeds 222 million rubles, and 16 jobs will be created at the enterprise.

CityMedia Techno LLC plans to create a production facility for electronic products and robotic equipment. The volume of investments in the project is 273.5 million rubles, and 65 jobs are planned to be created.

“The “Kulibin” SEZ is distinguished not only by tax preferences, but also by its convenient location and the availability of all necessary engineering infrastructure. The management company of the “Kulibin” SEZ is the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
