Expert council of the "Kulibin" SEZ approved investment project for the production of teagents for the petrochemical industry

The expert Council of the "Kulibin" Special Economic Zone (SEZ), located in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region, has approved the application of LLC "Sintogen" for SEZ resident status.

“The development of the chemical industry is one of the most promising directions for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Of the 39 projects approved by the expert council in the "Kulibin" SEZ alone, 19 involve the construction of chemical or petrochemical enterprises,” said Andrey Sanosyan, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The project implies the construction of a facility in the SEZ to produce oil additives and reagents for oilfield chemistry. The investment volume is over 917 million rubles, 40 jobs are planned to be created.

Oil additives are used in engine oil formulations to clean internal combustion engine components, reduce wear, enhance protective properties of base automotive oils, and improve compressor oils by reducing friction, increasing anti-scuff properties, and minimizing compressor component wear.

At full capacity, the enterprise aims to produce over 40,000 tons of products annually.

The "Kulibin" SEZ is managed by JSC Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.

“The chemical industry is a cornerstone of the "Kulibin" SEZ. The implementation of this project will significantly strengthen Dzerzhinsk’s status as Russia’s chemical capital,” emphasized Igor Ishchenko, Director General of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation.
